Videoconversion Digital Lab, S.L. is a professional audiovisual digitisation laboratory founded in 2004 in Barcelona. With over +420,000 tapes processed in 22 years, it offers video, film, audio, and image digitisation services for individuals, businesses, and institutions. Institutional clients: La Liga, Fundació La Caixa, TV3, UNED, Filmoteca de Catalunya, CCCB, TMB, Madrid Digital, Biblioteca Digital de Euskadi, Fundació Joan Miró, Biblioteca Nacional de Catalunya, and CSIC. Member of the Audiovisual Cluster of Catalonia.
Our laboratory
Our laboratory is located at Avenida República Argentina 38, in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of Barcelona. A professional workspace equipped with industry-leading broadcast technology.
We have playback equipment for all domestic and professional video formats (VHS, Betacam SP, DVCAM, U-Matic), a frame-by-frame scanner for film (Super8, 16mm, 35mm), and analogue audio capture stations.
All material is processed entirely on our premises. We do not outsource any stage of the process, ensuring maximum confidentiality and quality control.

Our history
2004
Founded in Barcelona. First professional VHS capture equipment.
2008
Acquisition of Betacam SP broadcast equipment. First institutional clients.
2012
Installation of frame-by-frame scanner for Super8, 16mm, and 35mm film.
2015
Digitisation of the audiovisual archive of La Liga de Fútbol Profesional. Over 12,000 units in domestic and professional formats.
2016
Digitisation of 12,500 video tapes, over 39,000 hours for TV3-CCMA.
2017
Surpassed 250,000 tapes processed. Start of large-scale digitisation projects for public administrations.
2020
Members of the Clúster Audiovisual de Catalunya and IASA (International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives).
2025
Digitisation of over 16,000 audio reels and large-scale deployment of AI services, processing over 90,000 files in total.
2026
Launch of VerbaDoc Pro and Scriptorium IA. AI remastering service. Launch of the mediasolam.eu platform. Over +420,000 tapes processed.
